If writing complete sentences is an issue for you, try these suggestions.
1. Start sentences with a noun or pronoun. 2. When your thought stops, add an end mark. 3. Does your sentence start with a capital letter? 4. Did you end with an end mark? a period? 5. Does the verb agree with the subject? Example: a plural subject needs a plural verb. Wrong: They is late. Right: They are late. 6. Are you missing any apostrophes? 7. Are your words spelled correctly? Read each sentence backwards to catch spelling errors. 8. If you have two independent clauses in one sentence, did you separate them properly? ** Use a semi-colon or a comma/conjunction Example: Many large companies spend millions to comply with EPA regulations, but they also know much more effort is needed. ***Many large companies spend millions to comply with EPA regulations; they also know much more effort is needed. 9.
