I looked over what I had highlighted and underlined.
The second round of reading the Scaret Letter was much more successful. I listened to the audio while reading the book which helped me keep a steady reading pace.
When I listened to the book and read a long with it, it was easier for me to understand. I also read the SparkNotes after to make sure that I fully understood everything.
The text actually became a lot easier to read after getting used to the authors style. I listeed to the audio book and read a long, or just listened while folding clothes. (My rooms really clean now!!!
The second time going through this felt a lot easier knowing the plot beforehand. The first time through I didn't know what to look for because I didn't know what was going on. Since I knew the plot the second time, I could piece the parts together.
I listened to it this time and it was marginally more successful than the first attempt due to the fact that I could visualize what was happening better due to the tone of voice
I still found the second reading to be difficult, just not as hard to understand as the first time. I feel like I could've gotten the general idea of it, but also I could've completely misinterpreted the introduction as well.
The second time around I read myself, then what I didn't comprehend, I listened to on the audio. This second time was a success.
The second time I understood better the context so I paid more attention to the details, but it's still hard to read
I decided to read the chapter, and then later I watched a video on youtube that summarized the chapter. That helped put it in simpler terms that were a lot easier to understand. It was still not very exciting, but I was able cram it out and get an understanding.
I read it through a second time. I felt a lot more comfortable with the text. The notes from the first time reading the text helped me a lot the second time through.
The book was little easier to read. I decidrd to spark note it and then listen and understood it much better once knew what I was looking for.
The 2nd time i read through the Scarlet Letter, it was much easier to understand what was occuring.
I read an article about how McDonalds restaurants all over the country have started putting calorie counts on their menus. This was supposed to have helped people to make healthier, more informed decisions, but it ended up not changing much. People are still buying the same things that they were buying before the calorie guides went up on the menus.
After rereading and reading sparknotes I felt I gained a more complete understanding of the text.
The second time was better, because I already had a general idea about the story line from reading it once through.
I read over some summaries of the custom house when I got home from school. Since I knew the main points I knew what to look for while I was listening to it better
I reread what I thought was difficult for me to understand the first time. I also went onto Sparknotes to clarify in case I still didn't understand it.
The second time was a bit more sucsesful. I read through the section again and then listen to the audio book to review the story later in the night.
Going though and listening to the book this time helped me piece the intro together a little bit better than reading it. I still have a little trouble getting used to the language but taking notes and looking up some of the words helped me.
The first time I had just read the chapter and then to refresh my brain I looked over notes which were posted on the internet. Also knowing what to look for made it easier to read and understand.
The second time I read it on spark notes and after I read the introduction. I felt like the second Time to read it, it was easier to understand.
This time around definitely went better
My second attempt of reading The Custom House was definitely more successful. However, I still wasn't able to totally soak in everything I read. I first read a SparkNotes summary, then listened to the audio book.
The second time I read through the intro, some of the ideas became more clear to me, and I understood the overall passage a bit more.
I finished reading through it, and then went back to the parts that I didn't understand. After going through those parts, I went to Sparknotes and that helped me any final parts that I still didn't get.
I used the help of an audiobook this second time around which allowed me to understand more of the language however the language still becomes an obstacle when it's such a long chapter like The Custom House.
I used Sparknotes to clarify what the author was trying to communicate. Then, I went back in the book, and read parts of the book that remained unclear.
I tried reading the summary and an analysis from sparknotes. And then I listened to it through to audiobook. I didn't really do anything else while listening so I didn't have to rewind it much. But it was so long. It took most of my night and it was still very stressful because of the length but I understood it more.
I listened to the audiobook.
This time through, the text was a lot easier to understand and read since I knew what to expect.
After last nights re-reading of the custom house, I found it easier to understand
I had better luck with my second attempt, however it didn't help the fact that I still found it hard to keep focused on. I did get through much more of it the second time though and I understood more of it.
I read the summary, then when I listened it was much easier to understand
Since I read the entire introduction two nights ago, last night I reviewed the Spark Notes of the section. This helped me fully understand what I read and cleared up any confusion.
I always understand better the second time through. The audio was extremely helpful for me and took less energy as well.
The second time I read through the introduction,it was much easier to understand. I read a summary prior to reading, so I had a general idea of what was going on.
I didn't read it
After re-reading the passage I found it to be more comprehendible because I was able to read more of it than the first time :)
I fell asleep reading it.. 😴😎😰
Reading the introduction the second time around was much easier, however I still had a rough time grasping the text.
The second time I felt I understood the writing more, although I did lose interest and did not finish the reading.
