The Free Dictionary: This site is a wonderful on-line dictionary. The site will provide you with audios versions of the word, and it also contains examples of the word used in context.
The site also includes a "References in classic literature" section which includes entire sentences from classic literature in which the word is used. This resource also contains a thesaurus, encyclopedia and even more .
Answers.com: This resource is more than only a dictionary. It contains an audio pronunciation feature helpful when one finds words that are difficult to pronounce. This source is also free.
